Senior Marketing Executive - Maternity Cover, Sunderland (Head Office)

Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days

Salary: £25,000 Depending on Experience

Role summary

ScS is a national retailer with a network of 101 stores throughout the UK.  The Senior Marketing Executive will manage and develop the Marketing function to ensure offline campaigns are executed in an accurate and timely manner.  They will play a key role in a fast pace department, whilst supporting a team of four on a day to day basis

This role is initially for 11 months to cover maternity leave with the possibility of extending to 12 months.

 

Core performance areas:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager to successfully produce marketing campaigns 
  • Day to day management of all aspects of the Marketing and PR function
  • Involved at all levels in the production of TV and radio advertising, press advertising (national and local), outdoor promotions, point of sale, website, PR and photography shoots
  • Work with external agencies to develop and deliver campaigns
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly reports, where required.
  • Update personal development plans with all staff, setting agreed objectives to assist with their ongoing development
  • Contribute to weekly communications and trading meetings
  • Any other reasonable tasks allocated by the Marketing Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a busy Marketing environment
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Priority setting and leadership experience, in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team members, directors and third-party suppliers
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency in your work
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Full driving licence required
