Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days

Salary: Minimum salary £4.50 p/hr negotiable on experience

Role Summary:

 The Online Visual Content Apprentice will support all aspects of the delivery and execution of our product photography.


Core Performance Areas:

  • Assist with the moving of stock (sofas/tables etc.) in the warehouse and prepare for transportation to the photography studio
  • Assisting with the manual handling of stock at the photography studio, including packing and unpacking stock items
  • Support the administration process to ensure smooth running of the photography schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Warehouse staff to ensure photography stock is booked into the DC following the correct procedures, and that all expected pieces are accounted for
  • Ensure photography stock is stored in the correct place within the DC
  • Check stock ahead of upcoming shoots to ensure it as per the Purchase Order
  • Ensure the correct stock is loaded on to the vans
  • Unpack all stock at the studio and work with the in-house studio team to ensure the correct products are on the right sets – at the right time
  • Assist the photographers on set, tasks may include moving backgrounds, flooring and lighting
  • Assist with the upload of new product image and video assets to the digital asset management software, including file naming, image checking and image manipulation
  • Assist with photoshoot planning and product scheduling
  • Regularly audit the website for missing or broken images and product missing photography
  • Create briefs for computer generated images (CGI) projects
  • Undertakes other duties in keeping with the nature of the position.


Key Skills and Experience:


  • Manual labour is required, so must be able to lift minimum of 15kg
  • A keen interest in photography and photographic processes
  • Must have some experience of creating and using Microsoft Excel and Word files


  • Creating and using Google docs
  • Uploading video content to YouTube
  • Using Photoshop to manipulate photography


Education/Qualifications and Training:

  •  GCSE’s including Maths and English

  • Due to the requirements of the role, the minimum age for applicants is 18.
